BGWG Monster Media built a fully custom software simulation of the Chase mobile app that ran directly on a vending machine touchscreen. The experience was structured to mimic the feel of browsing the actual app — while tying key feature activations to real-time physical rewards.
Users interacted with a touchscreen experience modeled after the Chase mobile app, complete with familiar layouts, navigation, and features like account overviews, rewards, budgeting tools, and card services.
Participants were prompted to “activate” specific features — such as enabling account alerts, viewing Chase Offers, or setting a savings goal. Each interactive step was gamified, allowing users to make choices as if they were customizing their real account.
Behind the scenes, each feature activation was linked to a physical prize. Once a user had explored enough app features, the vending machine automatically dispensed a corresponding gift — such as branded merchandise, financial literacy tools, or other promotional items.
The Chase App Experience turned education into entertainment, showing users how intuitive and valuable the Chase mobile app can be — all while surprising them with instant rewards. The activation succeeded in making a financial app feel accessible, personalized, and memorable, delivering real brand impact in a highly efficient footprint.
